The STEPS service in Northern Ireland will offer emotional support and counselling for stroke survivors and carers/relatives, as well as a series of self-management workshops in partnership with Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke (NICHS).

Post-Stroke Review

A Post-Stroke Review identifies the unmet needs of stroke survivors and their carers, which our coordinators then address. They also carry out checks to highlight unidentified high blood pressure or Atrial Fibrillation.
Stroke support groups
Type:
Groups offer support to stroke survivors, carers, family and friends. Built on friendships and fun, they are a safe and supportive space to try things again, to learn more about stroke and self-care and to build your confidence as you rebuild your life after stroke.
Support recovery with My Stroke Guide - Harvinder's story

My Stroke Guide is the Stroke Association's online stroke support tool. It connects you to others affected by stroke, and provides free access to trusted advice, information and support 24/7. Harvinder shares her story about how the stroke community helped stroke survivors, carers, and her work.
